The idea of the Village Development Committee is to
provide bottom-up management to implement the de-
velopment and conservation activities within the village
territory. The committee includes 4 working groups:
the Village Law Enforcement group to monitor the im-
plementation and compliance with the CCA (Communi-
ty Conservation Agreement), the Village Development
group in charge of community development activities,
the Village Development and Conservation Fund Group
for the management of the Village Fund, and the Village
Monitoring and Evaluation group in charge of data col-
lection and reporting
Participatory Land-use
Planning (PLUP)
NNT NP assists villages on land use planning to
manage their land and natural resources in a sus-
tainable way, finding balance between local liveli-
hoods and environmental conservation.
Community Action Plan (CAP)
to support livelihood development activities in var-
ious sectors (health, education, agriculture, ener-
gy…) for a sustainable development for the house-
holds.
Livestock & Agriculture
Promotion and technical assistance on agriculture
and livestock aims to alleviate poverty and reduce
pressures on wildlife and forests.
Energy
Bringing access to electricity for all household liv-
ing within the NP through clean energy sources
like solar panels is an important goal of NNT NP.
Education
Long-term well-being of local people is supported
through better education, including NNT NP sup-
port for improved school facilities and access to
educational resource and opportunities
Health
NNT.NP supports the improvement of community
health for villagers through nutrition awareness-
raising program and support to health centre infra-
structures and resources
